We Stand for Them
The history of Stop the Silence ® began in 2002 as a coalition of multi-ethnic and state groups that came together to comprehensively address child sexual abuse (CSA). Pamela Pine, PhD, MPH, an international health and development specialist, began the programming to address the pandemic and the critical need for comprehensive programming for this very complex issue.
Stop the Silence ®: Stop Child Sexual Abuse, Inc. (https://www.stopthesilence.org), with award-winning management and comprehensive, evidence-based, innovative, and creative CSA/trafficking prevention and mitigation programming spanning two decades, is based just outside of Washington, D.C. in the U.S., and brings a focus on CSA/trafficking prevention, treatment, and mitigation through direct and strong local, national, and international collaboration, strategy development and awareness, education, training, and policy development and reform programming.
