"And we got to get ourselves back to the garden . . ."

Those are words from Woodstock, a popular 1970s song from Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, and while Jennifer Alden didn’t say that, it is her intention. She plans to get many to Bethel, NY, the home of that rock weekend from 1969 for JAMFEST: ROCK the Nation. She’s promoting it on her radio show and is negotiating with the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts to hold a Christian Music Festival on the grounds of Woodstock. JAMFEST is being planned at the 15,000 seat venue in upstate New York (via Jeff Roslow -…/bartowcolum…/9181924-694/story.html.csp).

Jennifer Alden is the founder of ONE JAM NATION. She is the author of several books, including a three-part poetic literary series and a daily devotional. Jennifer’s “Joy And Music” ministry is an extension of her writing, which led her to produce the first of many concert events. "JAM: A Rock of All Ages!” was held at Lakeland’s historic Polk Theatre in November of 2014. The success of that event set the stage for a series of concert events. JAMFEST: ROCK the Nation is tentatively being planned to tour through various cites throughout the United States, including the grounds of Woodstock in Bethel, New York.

It is not our intent to come into a community, put on a good show, and then leave, never to be heard from again. We want to get people excited about the cities where they live and give them hope and encouragement to be agents of change. Then, by uniting with local organizations, they can take the hope and encouragement they received to the places where it is needed the most. One Jam Nation is an outgrowth of that inaugural occasion, and will also serve to support and promote upcoming events.
