A Weekly Devotional

Greg Laurie shared, "When you believe that Jesus could come back at any moment, it has a spiritually purifying effect on you. We are told in 1 John, 'And all who have this eager expectation [the expectation of the Lord's soon return] will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure' (3:3 NLT)."
Luke 12:38 also says, "He may come in the middle of the night or just before dawn. But whenever he comes, he will reward the servants who are ready."
Are we ready?
I have personally been considering this for quite sometime now, carefully looking at my own life the last seven years, especially, and questioning, "What can I do differently in preparation of what is to come?"
Am I really doing enough?
I am witnessing a major pulling apart of our society, and not just in our nation; but, in all the nations of the world. Division within the family unit is at an all-time high. Husbands are leaving their wives. Ministers are leaving their congregation. People are giving up, ultimately losing hope, and finding false-joy in worldly things.
In the last 24 months, I have been a witness to a growing number of friends, colleagues and ministerial partners getting easily offended with one another and all derivative of simple misunderstandings, due to what seems to be a lack of communication and understanding.
The Book of Revelation is clear of what is to come, and what it is that we can expect, as a Body of Christ, as we near this coming completion.
My heart has been heavily burdened to pray for supernatural unity in His church. I am praying for wisdom and discernment, patience and understanding among His people, and a renewed hope among one another.
I'm praying for a peace that passes ALL understanding for you right now, and for all followers of Christ who may be struggling in any way.
My prayer is for all the nations to come together, as one. One Nation (world-wide) under God, forever and ever, and in Jesus Christ's name, I will always pray.
